Integration
TeamViewer in IDA: book remote sessions as time
TeamViewer knows when and how long someone was on a customer machine. IDA brings those sessions into the same list as your calls, so no remote session stays unbilled.
BetaThis integration is built and usable, but has not yet run against a production third-party system - it was written against the vendor’s public interface documentation. Expect some follow-up work on first connection. We would rather say so up front than let you find out.
What IDA reads from TeamViewer
- Sessions from the connection reports
- Devices from "Computers & Contacts"
- TeamViewer groups for customer mapping
What IDA does with it
- Every session sits under "Not booked" with start and duration, right next to your calls
- One click books the time to a ticket or creates one
- Sessions from mapped groups know their customer
- The remote ID sits on the device in the inventory, as a link to connect
Who it is for
Service providers working with TeamViewer who want to bill remote work properly without entering sessions by hand.
Setup: Store a TeamViewer API token and map the groups to customers once.
Every integration in IDA has its own switch. Turn it off and it disappears completely - including the columns, filters and reports that belong to it. You only see what you actually use.
Vendor website: TeamViewer. TeamViewer is a trademark of its respective owner; IDA connects to the system technically, which implies no partnership.

Questions about the TeamViewer integration
Does IDA match devices automatically?
Only in mapped groups and only with exactly one match. A different ID on the device is never overwritten.
Does IDA show whether a device is online?
No. The connection syncs devices at most once a day or on demand and provides no online status.
