Built by an IT service provider, for IT service providers
IDA is made by S³ IT GmbH in Grevenbroich, Germany, an IT service provider with its own customer base. We built IDA because we needed it ourselves - and we work with it every day.
How IDA came about
Like many IT service providers, we long worked with a chain of tools: a ticket system, an ERP, spreadsheets for maintenance quotas and a lot of retyping in between. Each tool was fine on its own; the hand-offs were what cost us.
So we started bringing our operation together in one application: requests with SLAs, devices, contracts, time and finally the invoice, without a second set of data. Since August 2026 our quotes, invoices, warehouse, purchasing and accounting export run through IDA as well.
What works for us goes to every customer. What does not work, we notice first - long before anyone else reports it.
Who is behind IDA
Henning Eßer
Managing Director, S³ IT GmbH
Henning Eßer runs S³ IT GmbH and started developing IDA from within his own IT service company. He knows the day-to-day of an IT service provider first-hand: from the customer appointment to the ticket to the invoice.
His yardstick for every feature: it has to add real value for the technicians and the office in our own operation before it reaches customers.
