OCS Inventory in IDA: hardware inventory without the upkeep
OCS Inventory records what is out there in your customer networks. IDA fetches that data, assigns every device to the right customer automatically and puts it next to tickets, contracts and billing - instead of into a second portal.
BetaThis integration is built and usable, but has not yet run against a production third-party system - it was written against the vendor’s public interface documentation. Expect some follow-up work on first connection. We would rather say so up front than let you find out.

Setup: Store the server URL and credentials, maintain the subnets per customer - the nightly sync does the rest.
Every integration in IDA has its own switch. Turn it off and it disappears completely - including the columns, filters and reports that belong to it. You only see what you actually use.

Questions about the OCS Inventory integration
Do I have to rebuild my OCS installation?
No. IDA reads from the existing OCS server; nothing changes for the agents or the server.
How does IDA assign a device to the right customer?
By the IP subnet you store per customer. Deliberately not by device name: names like srv001 or PC10 exist at every customer, so a name match would prove nothing.
Can the integration be switched off again?
Yes, every integration in IDA has a master switch. Turn it off and the integration disappears from the interface entirely - columns, filters and widgets included.
