Checkmk in IDA: the alert becomes a ticket
Monitoring alerts - somebody has to react. IDA fetches the host states from Checkmk and turns an alert into a ticket at the right customer with one click, complete with an SLA deadline and an owner.
What IDA reads from Checkmk
- Hosts and their states
- The mapping from hosts to customers
- Open problems and acknowledgements
What IDA does with it
- A monitoring widget on the dashboard, filtered by customer
- An alert becomes a ticket - with customer, device and SLA deadline
- The on-call glance replaces the second browser window somebody keeps open
Who it is for
Service providers monitoring customer infrastructure with Checkmk who want to follow alerts as tickets.
Setup: Store the Checkmk site and its API access; hosts are then mapped to customers.
Every integration in IDA has its own switch. Turn it off and it disappears completely - including the columns, filters and reports that belong to it. You only see what you actually use.
Vendor website: Checkmk. Checkmk is a trademark of its respective owner; IDA connects to the system technically, which implies no partnership.
