Which fits whom?
When ConnectWise fits
ConnectWise is the right choice for large, internationally operating MSPs that use the whole ecosystem of PSA, RMM and remote access, have their own resources for rollout and operations, and genuinely exhaust the feature set.
When IDA is the better choice
IDA fits German system houses and IT service providers that want service and the commercial side in one system, want to start without a rollout project and want the German obligations - e-invoicing, DATEV, SEPA - covered out of the box. Existing tools such as monitoring, remote support or backup stay and are connected.

Questions about IDA as a ConnectWise alternative
Does IDA fully replace ConnectWise?
For running a German system house, yes: tickets with SLA, contracts with budget, time tracking, inventory, reports - plus quotes, invoices, warehouse, purchasing, banking and accounting. What IDA deliberately is not: an RMM or remote access product; those systems are connected.
What does IDA cost in comparison?
IDA publishes its price: 29 EUR per named user and 59 EUR per pool licence per month, all functions included, cancellable monthly. There are no packages, no add-on surcharges and no mandatory onboarding services.
Is the interface in German?
Yes, throughout - interface, help, document templates and support. The legal foundations are German too: e-invoicing, DATEV, SEPA, dunning.
What about data residency?
The data is held in Germany, operated by S³ IT GmbH, in line with the GDPR. A data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR is provided on request.
Can I get my data out again?
Yes. Reports and master data export to Excel, documents to PDF, the posting data as a DATEV batch - no lock-in.
