Alternative to Zammad

IDA as an alternative to Zammad

Zammad is a lean open-source ticket system from Berlin. IT service providers who want to run contracts, devices, time and invoices in the same system - not just answer requests - need more than a helpdesk.

Fair play: Zammad is a good German open-source ticket system with strong channels and fair pricing.

Which fits whom?

When Zammad fits

Zammad fits when you want a pure support helpdesk, many channels such as chat or messengers matter, or the system should be self-hosted and open source.

When IDA is the better choice

IDA fits when tickets should turn into revenue: time is booked against the maintenance contract, the quota counts down, devices belong to the customer, and at month end the invoice is there without re-entering anything in a second system. IDA works out weekend and public holiday surcharges by itself.

Moving over: Switching: connect the mailbox to IDA and new requests arrive there right away. Customers, contacts and contracts are imported; open tickets are finished in the old system.

Questions about IDA as a Zammad alternative

No. IDA is a fully operated service from Germany. You get operation, updates, backups and support for one price instead of running a system yourself.

What does IDA cost in comparison?
